Art Wear, Fashion created by Artists

Upcycled Art Wear is handmade, one-of-a-kind, concept-driven, trend-focused, function-inspired fashion.

It's often something old, something new and something borrowed; a conceptual marriage of fashion created by artists for the sake of creativity, longevity, savings and investments.

It's inspired by the idea of zero waste and upcycling and is driven by a philosophy of penetrating the socio-economic, environmental and cultural denial humanity continues to display at the tail-end of capitalism despite the obvious warning signs.

Art Wear fashions an old garment into something new. It's creativity often extends beyond upcycling to create unexpected value out of material and thread in the same way master painters create investment out of oil and canvas. An art wear artist will sign and date their work by hand and would hope that their wearable art is treasured for years to come for it's visuality, original design and it's fire-match-like ability to spark conversations in unexpected places.
